Gun control started in the 1960’s it was not about public safety. It was about racism. It was about the white man trying to keep the blacks in line as they were deeply afraid of the Black Panthers in California. And afraid of MOVE in Philadelphia. Responsible black citizens who aremd themselves in self defense of societal racism was the spark of gun control. The operative word in the argument is control. I’m not on the side of the NRA, I am on the side of the people who should have means to defend themselves in a society where the government beast becomes increasingly unreasonable.
Liberals still ask “is it okay to punch Nazis?” Well a holocaust survivor was killed by a neo-nazi yesterday so you got me fucked up if you still have a question about it. Yes you should fucking punch Nazis. Am I too emotional here? Fuck no considering I grew up in a community that was made to feel unsafe by Nazis until we did something about it. If you yourself don’t wish to punch Nazis, cool. But don’t bemoan those of us who have no compunction about it and do not call the cops.
The thirteenth amendment has been in the news a lot recently. The text of it reads “Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.” To break it down Lincoln was a fraud as slavery was not abolished. Allocation of slavery or involuntary servitude is still the same demon that the white man had visited upon blacks and Irish in this country. And subjecting the continuously mushrooming prison population to this practice actually victimizes the same groups in a sense. Being that our prisons are filled with people of color and disenfranchised whites who are all seen with the same racist and classiest contempt. Therefore not only is the U.S. the prison house of nations but also the plantation still stands. As though this isn’t bad enough we export our plantations under the name Free Trade Zone (FTZ) to exploit POC in third world countries. I’ve seen one and it kinda looked like a concentration camp. To clear up any ambiguity, America has no fucking interest in ending slavery and this will continue until this country engages in a number of ethical practices that would require a certain level of ethics and human interest. All who defend this amendment without demand of edit and those who wish to abolish it are nothing more than overseers and house boys.
So we jumped the gun and gave ya the first 2 issues of this new section. As punk is a political movement we’ll be bringing you political issues in an official section. This will be at least once weekly. Some current issues, some old, ALL relevant. At times you’ll hear from my good friend Jilly Bee who was part of the push to start this up. All of us at Punx In Solidarity learned from Joe Strummer and what we learned is we have to fight!
Here’s my amazing long time friend (been there since the beginning) Jilly Bee with a perspective on the Kavanaugh fiasco and the shockwaves it sends through our existence. #Kavanaugh #SCOTUS
So everyone is melting down over Brett Kavanaugh. To put it simply, he’s not fucking qualified to serve on the supreme court. There’s the numerous allegations that he’s a rapist and overall sexual offender. His nonchalance towards sexual assault is problematic and disturbing. Beyond that he was highly instrumental in the PATRIOT ACT and called it Constitutional. What the fuck is constitutional about black sites, indefinite detention, warrantless taps of electronic communications and usurping the 4th Amendment. To reiterate, this guy isn’t fucking qualified to be a justice in our highest court. It’s quite funny that the defense of him is innocent until proven guilty for a guy who promoted the exact opposite of that during our illegal wars. Anyone else feel the irony?

So this week Alex Jones and Info Wars got pulled from Facebook, Spotify, ITunes and YouTube. The liberals are celebrating and the alt-right is melting down. Twitter has opted to keep him. And there’s been outrage at that. Jones is the bat shit crazy guy on the corner with a megaphone. He’s a vile creature. But he has the right to say what he does. Also the sites that pulled him are private companies with the right to refuse service or continue it. So I won’t miss the guy. But it’s an interesting study in freedom of speech.
No really. I here people say this. It’s one of the most insipid and churlish write answers I’ve ever heard. Right up there with voting for a major party. If you’re gonna write in at least follow your principles and vote someone who could reasonably qualify. In other words not a 2000 plus year dead middle eastern national. Maybe put the boxed wine down and drink water instead so you can think clearly.
